That allows you to use Firefox Release for day to day private browsing and the ESR for work purposes. If you have support of your IT department they will probably suggest using the official version, as an additional browser with its own additional Firefox profile, and using a custom install location. It needs no complicated steps with profiles and install locations.
It does not Interfere with your Standard Firefox Release. That is easy too install as an additional browser on your computer, or even on a memory stick. If you just have problems with a couple of sites or applications related to work it will be easiest to use the well respected but unofficial Firefox portable ESR build.
